ZICO is a writer/director, cinematographer and editor whose work consists of editorials, short-form commercial and feature-length narrative films. Representing alternative narratives around contemporary culture, its inhabitants and movements.

In 2019, in collaboration with Copa90, he edited and sound designed a production of the ‘Derby Days’ documentary series later released on the Copa90 YouTube channel covering the 2018 Copa Libertadores Final which hosted the penultimate rivalry in South American football between River Plate and Boca Juniors.

In 2021, he embarked on his first solo expedition to the west Asian subcontinent. The 111-day expedition covered a dozen countries in the region and his documented photographs and written chronicles ultimately resulted in his first publication Convalescence later published in 2022.

ZICO has been a visiting artist and guest speaker at a number of institutions including King’s College London, Tisch School of Cinematic Arts, USC School of Cinematic Arts and the Toronto Film School.
